The University of Pretoria celebrates its Centenary: 1908-2008

The University of Pretoria (UP) is celebrating its centenary this year. One of the University’s aims, as it reaches this milestone in its history, is to maintain and/or make contact with alumni living overseas. The purpose of this project is to keep alumni updated about what is happening at their Alma Mater via the University’s free electronic newsletter and magazine known as Die Tukkie.

The University is also planning, in future, to organise regional functions and reunions overseas and would like to contact alumni representatives. According to latest information from Webomatrics Ranking of World Universities, the UP, out of 100 top African Universities, is ranked 4th and also placed in position 686 out of 4000 World top universities.
